The third and final day of OK24 was my favourite of the festival: it began with the notorious naked run and ended with a spectacular sunset, and sometime after that Hellcats utterly destroyed the top bar in the set of the weekend.

Day 2 of OK24 looked like this:
After only narrowly surviving the zombie flu in 2016 and taking 2017 off, I returned to Oppikoppi for the third time earlier this month. It was a very different festival, for better and worse, but as beautiful and punishing to cover as ever.
I won’t say much about it, mostly because it was good but not phenomenal and covering it was an exhausting experience from which, to be honest, I’m still recovering…here are some shots from day 1.
The second installment of Texx and the City’s series of intimate shows at the Aquarium featured a stripped down set from AKING and my favourite Bam Bam Brown performance to date. Here are some shots from the night.
Jam Packed Productions continued their impressive international concert series (and drive to raise R1 million for rhino conservation) with Christian metal-core Texans Fit For a King. They were joined by a crammed local line-up featuring Treehouse Burning, Atlantic South, As Time Divides, Onedaysky and A Fate Like Yours.
