Our 10th day of roadtripping through beautiful Brittany took us to the pink granite coast, a bustling beach over which the Patrouille de France performed, the fairytale house between the rocks at Plougrescant and a comfy farmhouse bnb.
Our last day in Finistère took us along Brittany’s north coast through charming Roscoff and Saint-Pol-de-Leon and ended in the shadow of the epic viaduct in Morlaix.
The second part of the ‘lighthouse tour’ part of our Breton roadtrip saw us heading inland from Brittany’s west coast through the beautiful town of Locronan before visiting the pictureque lighthouses at Petit Minou and Pointe Saint-Matthieu. It was a very long day and involved many hours, kilometers and weather conditions.
This was a really long day. An ambitious amount of driving in hindsight and a vast under-estimate of the time it’d take, but nevertheless we saw so much in our first stretch of driving along the western coast of Brittany.
One week after watching some of SA’s finest musicians collaborating for the Francois van Coke en Vriende show in Pretoria, Cape Town got to see another collaborative show courtesy of local supergroup Blood Brothers. The show featured some of SA’s best artists, performing to raise money for the Vrede Foundation, and took place at the Zip Zap dome in the heart of Cape Town.
