The inaugural show from the League of Doom featured The Valley, Ruff Majik, Mad God and Doomorgy. Unfortunately I missed the first band, Electric Bizarre, but here are some photos of the other acts.

I recently took some photos for Lights Out of their show at House of Machines, here’s a quick post with some of my favourite shots from the night.
Hezron Chetty is one of my favourite musicians to watch live – his set at Cafe Roux at the beginning of the month was great, and I really enjoyed watching Durban-based supporting duo The Kickstands too. Here are some shots from the night.
Van Coke Kartel were always my favourite of the whole Van–Fok–King–Tasties school of bands. I first saw them in 2009 or 10 and have thoroughly enjoyed their shows over the years. Saying goodbye is never easy but they went out in true style: their final show, at the same venue as their first ever show, met every expectation.
Retro Dizzy and the Sweet Resistance did a good job as opening acts but the crowd were really only their for the headliners, and no sooner had Francois Van Coke appeared on the stage when he was grabbed by the masses in an epic crowd-surf move. And it only got crazier from then on; truly a night that I’ll remember for a long time.
