I really enjoyed Tresor’s show at Cafe Roux – he’s one of those artists whose music I couldn’t say I’d consciously heard before but I recognised 3 or 4 tracks from the radio as soon as they started.
Tresor’s story is one of hard work and talent paying off: originally from the DRC, he worked as a car and security guard during the past 8 years he’s lived in SA, working to fulfil his musical ambitions. He went on to win best pop album at last year’s SAMMAs.
His achievements are definitely well deserved – he’s a great performer.
