David Meulen launched his debut album @davidmeulen last week at Roodebloem Studios in Woodstock. It was a beautiful night and a really lovely event.

The band performed against the infinity curves at the back of the room, which they livened up with projected imagery ranging from psychedelic patterns to old film footage to animations of the characters used on the album cover. Performing both original songs from @davidmeulen as well as a few covers – each of them rather unusual/refreshing choices: Pink Floyd’s Money, Sting’s Englishman in NY and Jason Mraz’s Make it mine – David Meulen and his band put on a really lovely show and a night that was enjoyed by all.

I highly recommend the album, it’s a great listen and at only R70 on iTunes, a real steal.
