Butterflies and a brief visit to Stellenbosch

Friday 7 October 2011

Following my nose operation (had for health reasons not cosmetic, just so we’re clear…) I took a brief break from late nights and loud music and had a quiet weekend, starting with a visit to Butterfly World and the University of Stellenbosch’s Botanical Gardens, two of my favourite places.

I don’t remember when I last visited the butterflies but felt a revisit was overdue…

The US Botanical Gardens (the Asian section in particular) are beautiful; if I lived in Stellenbosch I’d probably go visit them every day. It was really hot there on Friday and I didn’t take any photos apart from a few of their beautiful Momiji/Japanese Maple tree.
