I’ve wanted to check out the rooftop trailer park at the Grand Daddy Hotel for ages, and finally got the opportunity to do so on Friday evening.
Each trailer’s interior was designed/decorated by a different artist; a friend’s staying in ‘Dorothy’ so we got to explore inside it.
It’s really cool inside – everything is blue with white dots (even the fridge and cutlery) and there were all kinds weird things dotted (bad pun, sorry…) around the place, including a (polka dot) skull in the freezer, a model car towing a mini model of the trailer and even a pair of ruby slippers in the bathroom.
I didn’t know before, but the hotel regularly has bands and events up in the trailer park, which makes sense – it’s a really nice venue. Friday’s band was The Little Kings, who provided the perfect soundtrack for a chilled summer evening up on the rooftop.
Definitely a place I’ll visit again some time… read more about the Grand Daddy Hotel here.
