Illustration Friday: Asleep

ART

I’ve been following Illustration Friday since 2009 but never got around to actually participating…so here’s my first contribution, Lepus Sleepus; I’m taking some artistic liberties here as ‘lepus’ refers to hares and not burrowing rabbits like these but I just like the way the phrase sounds…

Initially it was just the one rabbit, but he looked lonely…

Made from recycled photos and textures from my Red Orange Green music video for Emma Pollock

This is wonderful! Your rabbits look very cozy. And I especially like the dandelion fluff!

Thank you so much Rumisu & Jill, much appreciated :)

  4. A beautiful picture and an illustration kids will keep looking at. The dark woods bring a bit anxiety while the bunnies look very relaxed and cosy curled up in their burrow. The moon is about to light the woods and in the early morning the bunnies will feel hungry and leave their nest to nibble at the dandelions.
A lovely picture that invites story-telling.
