Lonesome Dave Ferguson at the Grand Daddy Hotel

Fri 22 April 2011

One-man-blues-band Dave Ferguson has been a regular fortnightly performer at the Grand Daddy Hotel’s rooftop trailer park for  ages (the last two years, I think). I only saw him there once previously (and then again at Ramfest earlier this year) but thought he was really cool. He’s about to leave for Europe (or is on his way by now, I’m not sure…) and gave his last performance at the Grand Daddy laaast Friday, so Jess and I went to check it out…

Entertaining as ever, and perfect for a venue like the Grand Daddy; it’s easy to see why he was a regular there so long. Thank you Mr. Ferguson and good luck with your future endeavours.

    Hey There Lauramccullagh,
I just stumbled across this and, It occured to me today that I have seen an ever increasing amount of very influential rock stars that are no longer with us. Kurt Cobain , Joey Ramone ,Johnny Ramone , DeeDee Ramone, Eric Carr , Lonesome Dave and Rod Price from Foghat , Bo Diddley , Danny Joe Brown from Molly Hatchet , Kevin Dubrow from Quiet Riot , Steve Clarke from Def Leppard………Have you guys seen many or am I just old as crap ?
    Good Job!
