49M Rocking the Daisies 2012 – Sunday

Sunday 07 October 2012

Waking up relatively unscathed on Saturday was clearly too good to last – Sunday morning hit me in the face like a ton of bricks. It had rained on my way back to the tent the night before, and an open tent flap (which happened to be above my sleeping bag) meant we needed to do some emergency late night waterproofing and then fight for dry floorspace before trying to go to sleep. But it was the last day of the festival, so we could take it easy.

49M Rocking the Daisies 2012 – Saturday

Saturday 06 October 2012

Friday night was freezing, my pillow was covered in black, scented candle wax (spilled all over the place by the thieves who broke into our tent and went through our stuff before making off with Jess’ phone) and the bass from the electro tent kept pumping into the morning. Still I somehow managed to wake up feeling less shattered than I expected – Day 2 of RTD 2012 was off to a good start.

49M Rocking the Daisies 2012 – Friday

Friday 05 October 2012

This year was my inaugural Rocking the Daisies, and what a year to pick – all (15 000 I think) festival tickets sold out meaning the place was packed, the weather was mild during the day and Bloc Party were headlining. I went up on Friday so unfortunately missed the campsite bands on Thursday night, but to be honest I don’t think I could’ve survived a third night in the cold…anyway Friday was action-packed, here’s what went down…

New lens

Thursday 04 October 2012

Things are crap at work, I’m stressed and generally miserable and my card was swallowed by an ATM today…but I almost don’t care, because I’m now the proud owner of a Canon 8-15mm fisheye. I’ve been lusting after this lens for a good while and am beyond thrilled :)

I can’t wait to give it some proper use, in the meantime, here’s a fishy pic of Jasper saying hello…

Ray-Ban presents: The best of @Texxonfire

Sat 29 September 2012

I’ve been shooting #Tuesonfire at &Union since the beginning of the year, so really enjoyed reliving some of the highlights by watching a collection of some of the standout performers – Motheo Moleko, Matthew Mole, Shannon Strange, Manny Walters & The Width and Dallas & Alexia – at the Assembly last Saturday.
