The last time I saw New Holland must have been around 2009, so seeing them back on stage again for the first time in ages was a real blast from the past. Here’s a look at their show at Manila Bar with the Nomadic Orchestra, Sons of Settlers & The Vanilla last Friday.

I like metal… I mean, I’m not a massive fan and I don’t know much about the local scene, but every time I shoot a metal gig I really enjoy it. There’s just always a great energy that’s so exciting to shoot and be a part of. Plus long-haired headbangers make for fun shots.

Last Thursday’s Full House at Aces ‘n’ Spades was definitely one of the standout ones for me so far this year – it’d had been way too long since I’d been to proper, loud rock gig and Thursday really delivered, and then some. Here are some shots of Stoker, FILTH & Black Lung bringing down the house and keeping people up late the night before the worker’s day long weekend.
Last Saturday, the eco-warriors at GreenPop hosted their latest Cool as Folk party to raise funds as well as celebrate the planting of 50,000 trees – no mean feat. The last time I attended a CAF party was way back in 2011 – this time round the event had really grown exponentially.
