This day stands out in my memory, and not for the best reasons unfortunately but luckily nothing too terrible happened and it’s all quite funny now…
While based in Carnac, we took a daytrip to the peninsula of Quiberon, explored Carnac’s famous alignments and visited a night market and fest noz in the evening.
Die Antwoord put on a rare home-town show in Woodstock at the end of December. I really enjoyed their performance which felt very slick and watching them it’s clear how much they’ve honed their skills through their extensive touring overseas.

From the forested heart of Brittany, we headed back to the coast – the south this time and the famous sea-side town of Carnac. Along the way we saw some beautiful standing stones (our first!) in Monteneuf and visited the castle-town of Josselin.
We returned to the magical Mont-Saint-Michel in the morning before heading back inland (and back into Brittany proper) towards the legendary Brocéliande region.
After an emotional night watching Interpol in Saint-Malo, it was off towards Normandy and the breathtakingly magical island village of Mont-st-Michel.
