Another year has evaporated and it is now 2016, and my 9th last.fm anniversary.
Last.fm’s implemented a whole load of changes most of which I don’t really like but the improved graphs are interesting – looking back on mine I can see I didn’t listen to as much music as I usually do this year. I missed a lot of the big releases and will no doubt get into them belatedly over the next few months, but in the meantime here’s what I enjoyed listening to the most in 2014.

L I V E
Most enjoyable gigs I’ve attended this year:
Oppikoppi festival was unreal, and hands down my favourite musical experience of the year. Wow.
Paolo Nutini and Ben Howard also surprised me and I enjoyed their shows a lot.
The Hog Hoggidy Hog tribute at Rocking the Daisies was one of the most emotional performances I witnessed this year.
My favourite gig to photograph was probably One Eight Seven’s launch at Club Med, it was just insane. This year I also started shooting a lot more metal and really, really enjoyed the shows I attended. Standouts are Eluveitie, Protest the Hero and Infanteria‘s surreal and highly entertaining parking lot gig at Paul Bothner N1 City.
