Club Med is fast becoming my favourite Cape Town venue to shoot – it’s just perfect for punk and hardcore gigs and I always have a great time there. It’s also fast becoming the venue of choice for visiting internationals in the aforementioned genres. Friday the 10th’s show was a perfect example, as American hardcore trio Magrudergrind brought some real intensity to the local crowd, with support from Peasant, Wildernessking and Overhex (who made their debut that night).
