launch with The Great Apes and Wolftown at Zula\" href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/2011\/09\/woodstock-mafia-ep-launch-with-the-great-apes-and-wolftown-at-zula\/\" target=\"_blank\">Zula<\/a> (<a title=\"Zula\u2019s Grand Re-opening\" href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/2011\/07\/zulas-grand-re-opening\/\" target=\"_blank\">I reeeeally don&#8217;t like the place<\/a>) and that just happened to be the case last Friday: Dead Alphabet, Red Huxley and Woodstock Mafia kicked off their &#8216;Dead Red Mafia Tour&#8217; with a bang, and were joined by Josh Roxton.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/2011\/09\/sabretooth-fox-comet-when-karma-sleeps-red-huxley-at-mercury\/\" target=\"_blank\">just once before<\/a>\u00a0and thought they were pretty cool. I enjoyed their set \u00a0at Zula too, even though it contained the <a title=\"Coal &amp; Black Moscow at Zula, Them Tornados at Club Voom Voom\" href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/2011\/07\/coal-black-moscow-at-zula-them-tornados-at-club-voom-voom\/\" target=\"_blank\">obligatory sound problem<\/a> for the evening &#8211; the bass lost power and the 10 minutes it took to rectify felt like a small eternity&#8230;but the band handled it well.<\/p>\n<p>They also have a <a title=\"red huxley\" href=\"http:\/\/redhuxley.com\/\" of theirs a while back and thought <em>Eat you alive\u00a0<\/em>was good, though confess I didn&#8217;t really remember any of the other tracks.<\/p>\n<p>Their live show was cool, maybe not as
