Plus, after a few songs they whipped out a banjo which was super cool &#8211; <a title=\"We Are Beautiful Losers 2 at A Word of Art in Woodstock\" href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/2012\/01\/we-are-beautiful-losers-2-at-a-word-of-art-in-woodstock\/\" target=\"_blank\">those pretty much win me over instantly<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/2011\/10\/miller-music-series-pretty-blue-guns-the-windy-city-wrestlerish-acoustic-at-the-assembly\/\" target=\"_blank\">The last times<\/a> I&#8217;ve seen them, <a title=\"Mercury\u2019s 9th birthday with Taxi Violence, Pretty Blue Guns &amp; Junkyard Parade\" href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/2011\/10\/mercurys-9th-birthday-with-taxi-violence-pretty-blue-guns-junkyard-parade\/\" target=\"_blank\">I&#8217;ve enjoyed watching The Pretty Blue Guns<\/a> and this time was no exception, they&#8217;re a very cool band.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently vocalist Andre Leo was almost electrocuted on stage and burned by a wire or something &#8211; not sure when that happened but evidently I missed it&#8230;I dunno what it says about the nature of the night that an event like that could totally pass me by, but I&#8217;m glad he&#8217;s okay and href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/2011\/11\/synergy-live-day-1\/\" target=\"_blank\">once again<\/a> put on a <a title=\"Converse Block Party at the Assembly\" href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/2011\/12\/converse-block-party-at-the-assembly\/\" target=\"_blank\">great show<\/a>. By the time they kicked off, the small room was full to bursting and seemingly devoid of any moving air.
