Mercury last Saturday (even the bar staff showed up 45 minutes late) because The Curious Incident put on a great show, as did Saintfearless who have yet to disappoint.<\/p>\n<p><a rock conventions with their Leopard\/Snake Rock&#8221; &#8211; and I&#8217;d say that sums them up pretty accurately. I felt like they took a while to get into their stride, but somewhere near the middle of their set, it was like someone lit a fire under singer Kyle Roberts and his sudden added energy kicked the band into high gear (and made him seem to me a bit like a lovechild of Fox Comet&#8217;s <a title=\"Fox Comet\"  href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Fox-Comet_LMcC_6446.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-3\" data-rl_title=\"Fox Comet\" data-rl_caption=\"\">Rob Coutts<\/a> and The Great Apes&#8217; <a title=\"The Great Apes\"  href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/The-Great-Apes_LMcC_2845.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-3\" data-rl_title=\"The Great Apes\" data-rl_caption=\"\">Yusif Sayigh<\/a> &#8211; a deadly combo if ever there was one).<\/p>\n<p>They have an interesting sound and were a lot of fun to watch, even
