I don’t entirely understand how The Assembly’s Miller Music Series<\/a> works (themed by international cities in some way…?) but so far their line-ups have been really cool; from VCK & Foto na Dans last month<\/a>, to The Pretty Blue Guns & The Windy City last Saturday.<\/p>\n

I’d had a rather off Saturday and was totally ready to sleep at 9:30pm yet somehow by 9:31 I’d decided to get changed make my way to The Assembly.<\/p>\n

I arrived in time to catch the last 30 seconds of Beach Party, which surprised me a bit as I didn’t think they’d have started so early…can’t say I liked what I heard very much but everyone I spoke to who had seen them seemed to think they were cool so I’ll just have to catch them properly another time…<\/p>\n

Up next was an acoustic set from\u00a0Werner Olckers, in his own words, ‘formerly one fourth and now one third of Wrestlerish’. It wasn’t really my thing, but then I don’t have a lot of stamina when it comes to acoustic performances<\/a> and am not overly familiar with anything Wrestlerish apart from current single Bodies of Water<\/em>, which worked pleasantly enough at a bare bones level.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
