I can&#8217;t really make my mind up about them &#8211; they seem to me a bit like<a title=\"La.Vi\" href=\"\/blog\/tag\/la.vi\/\" target=\"_blank\"> La.Vi<\/a>&#8216;s rougher little cousins. There were moments I liked and others I really didn&#8217;t; the guest appearance from Rolling Thunder&#8217;s vocalist was one of the former and the odd pitchy moments from the lead vocalist were href=\"http:\/\/lauramccullagh.com\/blog\/2011\/08\/coal-guests-at-the-waiting-room\/\" target=\"_blank\">extended set on Women&#8217;s Day<\/a>, Coal sounded punchier than I&#8217;d heard them before &#8211; and I don&#8217;t mean in a purely &#8216;down to the soundguy&#8217; kinda way (though he did a great job). They also played a lovely &#8216;new&#8217; song, <em>The Ruse<\/em>, that&#8217;s not really new at all but was being performed for the first time in over a year.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style
