Savage Swedes<\/a>\u00a0God Mother returned<\/a> for another unforgettable tour in South Africa in May. Their 2016 show<\/a>\u00a0at Club Med<\/a> was one of the most memorable<\/a> from that great and short-lived venue<\/a> and their recent visit to ROAR managed to build on the energy and mania even further. Singer\/screamer Sebastian Campbell spent more time out in the crowd than on stage, doing crazy things like using his mic chord as a limbo line and encouraging his (actual) mother-in-law to crowdsurf. It was awesome.<\/p>\n

On a more bitter-sweet note, it was the last show I’d personally attend at ROAR<\/a> as the iconic venue announced its June closure earlier this year. I wrote some thoughts on ROAR for Texx and the City over here<\/a> – in the meantime, here are some shots from God Mother’s epic show.<\/p>\n
