Last year’s Queens of the Stone Age tribute show at Manila<\/a> was one of the standout gigs of the year for me<\/a>, great energy and vibe and loads of fun. Unfortunately this year’s edition just wasn’t any of those things. There were some great moments but overall something was missing and I just didn’t feel it.<\/p>\n

To be honest, even before the show I was apprehensive – in spite of loving last year’s show I wasn’t keen on seeing\u00a0another. I know a lot of time and effort goes into the prep and rehearsal for such a production<\/a> but I can’t help feeling (especially now) that the novelty of something like this goes pretty fast, and those energies would be better spent on new and original shows.<\/p>\n
