April – November 2013<\/div>\n

Just under a year ago, Jaco from Bittereinder<\/a> asked me if I’d be interested in shooting him, Toast Coetzer and Hemelbesem for their new collaborative project Walkie Talkie. The trick was that all three members were scattered around the place; Jaco suggested three separate portraits stuck together, and from there the idea evolved into something a bit more conceptual.<\/p>\n

After lots of back and forth mails about who was in town when and where we could meet to shoot, I finally took the last shot of the triptych (Hemelbesem) in early November. Phew!<\/p>\n

It was the first time I’d actually planned an image completely before creating it, and I’m really pleased with how it turned out.<\/p>\n
