I took a little break in the middle of the CTEMF<\/a> to watch Tape Hiss and Sparkle<\/a> at the Waterfront last Saturday…\"Tape<\/a><\/p>\n

Now with a rhythm section, consisting of Alessandro Busetto\u00a0on bass and Mandisi Nkomo\u00a0on drums,\u00a0this was\u00a0TH&S<\/a>‘s first performance with its new lineup. I love the fragility of the recorded songs and Simon’s solo shows<\/a>, but the dynamic of the trio and the added dimensions are really nice too.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, for most of the set, the very European couple at the front of the stage gave up any pretense they might’ve initially had of trying to restrain their baby, who was trying really hard to climb onto the stage, and who damn near succeeded…it was kinda funny at first but became downright distracting. But at least the kid had good taste – he was loving the music.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
